Participating in joint exercises not only highlights the importance of cooperation but also underscores a commitment to our responsibility and community support.
Teekay was invited to participate in a three-day ship-shore joint exercise organized by the Western Canada Marine Response Corporation (WCMRC) . The event was the chance for all participants to enhance preparedness and ensures an effective response in the event of a real incident.
All of the participants forming a “Unified Command Structure” were able to practice respective roles, strengthen interdependent ties, and identify potential weaknesses in specific situations. It was also an avenue for us at Teekay to share our knowledge and identify ways to improve the way we operate.
At Teekay, Safety and Reliability are our top priority. We strive to deliver “zero harm” in the way which we operate. We take the extra effort in supporting joint exercises as part of our firm commitment to our responsibility. We do it because it is the right thing to do, and a commitment for protecting the community and environment.
