Every year, we celebrate International Women’s Day around the globe and celebrate the contributions of women at sea, on shore and at home.
In this special edition episode of the podcast, we reflect on this year’s theme for International Women’s Day and put the #BalanceforBetter lens on the shipping industry. We highlight the voices of our seafaring and shore colleagues and explore their stories about ambition, authenticity, resilience and tenacity. We discuss the concept of “one-liness,” find out what it’s like for a woman to live and work in a predominantly male environment, challenge norms and break glass ceilings.
