Another Great Volunteer Day at The Greater Vancouver Food Bank

12 productive Vancouver staff headed down to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank warehouse on Friday, May 24th. They spent the morning sorting and packaging food and other materials. While some were packing away dry goods and snacks for distributions at other depots, others sorted donations, and special notes. Most notably, two volunteers, Samantha Heng and Tracy Shi, packaged an entire pallet-sized box of tuna snack cans! The Greater Vancouver Food Bank is an essential service for many British Colombians. The society provides food support to over 100 meal-providing agencies who assist over 13,000 people every week. There are over 15 depots located throughout the lower mainland, a vast majority managed by hundreds of volunteers (The Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society). A warm thank you to the Vancouver team for so generously donating their time.
