In recognition of International Women’s Day, we are reminded of the transformative power of unlocking potential.
Teekay has always celebrated International Women’s Day and has held meaningful global events to mark the occasion. In 2024, we have seen our colleagues rise to the occasion and celebrate the women of Teekay.
Sydney, Houston and London bonded and strengthened their tight-knit community, Bermuda engaged with their local community, Manila reached out to the underprivileged women in their communities, Mumbai held discussions and inspirational talks from strong and empowered local women, Singapore dug deep and self-reflected with art expression and creativity, and Vancouver celebrated all the women’s achievements across the offices.
When women are given the support and tools to unleash their capabilities, extraordinary achievements follow. This is why we celebrate International Women’s Day at Teekay as our commitment to our Vision and Values.
Bringing energy to the world means including each and every one of us who are passionate in doing our jobs and in doing our jobs right. This means, men and women collaborating in a healthy working environment, supporting each other so we can achieve our collective goals.
When we inspire others to understand and value women’s inclusion, we forge a better working environment. Hopefully, we also forge a better world. This is the theme for this year’s IWD, #InspireInclusion.
Let us hope for a more inclusive world for women where both men and women, equally support – and involve – each other.
