Engaging topics, interactive discussions, a night of barbecue, and a fantastic closing remark about the Teekay Culture were part of the exciting lineup in Teekay Australia’s Seafarer Leadership Conference.
After three years, Teekay Australia regroups once more for a lively, face-to-face conference represented by shore and sea staff of various ranks. The energy was positive all throughout the three days and everyone evenly contributed to the dialogue which made for a more dynamic and meaningful conference.
Subject-matter experts were invited to share their knowledge with topics focused on People, Culture, Mental Health, and genuine Feedback collected from the seafarers themselves. A strong understanding of these focus areas will pave the way to a more empowered and effective Leader.
Starting the conference with an evening of barbecue, followed by a guided Shark Bay tour and a spectacular dinner by the water on Day 2, building relationships by getting to know each other was an important part of the team’s agenda. When we build strong relationships, we build stronger teams!
Overall, it was a fantastic conference with gained insights that the attendees can bring back to each of their vessels.
