Keeping our Global Communities Safe, While Delivering on our Operational Promise
Last week, WHO declared the spread of COVID-19 a global pandemic, and we have all felt the ripple effect of this announcement carry across the globe. As we grapple with these uncertain times and work to protect against the spread of COVID-19, it is our collective responsibility to maintain as our highest priority the health and well-being of our staff, our families, and our communities.
As we are an integral part of the world’s energy supply chain, we are doing everything we can to ensure business continuity; we have to this point maintained continuous operation across the Teekay Group and have every expectation that we will continue to do so. However, as we navigate this situation, our primary focus is to keep our employees at sea and shore safe and healthy. We are taking all precautions to keep our colleagues safe by following all government guidelines provided in the countries where our staff live and work.
Our commitments to our colleagues and all stakeholders are important to us, and we will continue to operate with excellence in order to deliver on our promises.
The situation is fluid, and our COVID-19 Task Force is continuously monitoring official government channels on a global basis to ensure that we keep our Teekay Family safe with the most up-to-date information and recommendations available.
It’s more important than ever to come together with #TeekaySpirit. Whether side-by-side or at a distance, we can all take measures to support and uplift each other in the face of uncertainty.
