Paving the Way for our Industry’s Future
We are pleased to announce that Teekay along with Wärtsilä Marine Solutions has won the Environmental Award for the E-Shuttle tanker concept at the 2018 Tanker Shipping and Trade Awards.
The Tanker Shipping and Trade Awards are the only awards recognizing excellence across the Tanker industry. Congratulations to the team who was involved who showed some true Teekay SPIRIT.
The new and innovative shuttle tanker design will significantly reduce emissions and fuel consumption. The 130,000 dwt vessels will operate on both liquefied natural gas (LNG) as the primary fuel, and a mixture of LNG and recovered volatile organic compounds (VOCs) as secondary fuel.
