As part of our ongoing Operational Leadership journey, we have implemented the Operational Leadership Award. The award is designed to recognize and reward people whose positive environmental, safety and leadership behaviors exemplify those expected of Operational Leaders. This quarter No. 1 Oiler Marcelo Concepcion Bautista was nominated as the Safety Champion of Team Orion. Congratulations! Marcelo is vigilant, diligent and forth coming with his suggestions regarding all matters regarding safety. He also stopped an unsafe act being committed and prevented injury to his colleague. He has come up with many proposals for safety improvements onboard and is very active in hazards reporting. Mr. Bautista has been observed to take initiatives in mentoring the Wiper and Cadet onboard to support their overall growth. He is an active participant in daily work planning meetings and always comes up with a safer and more efficient way of working. Even though he is new to the company, he has adapted to the Teekay way of working and has been definitely a great addition to our fleet. Way to go Marcelo. Keep up the Teekay Spirit and Safety First!
