88 teams from across the world are joining the challenge
Today marks the kick-off of the Global Corporate Challenge (GCC), a 100-day program where teams of seven take on a journey completing 10,000 steps a day. This year is the fourth consecutive year of Teekay’s participation. Last year 16 Teekay teams participated by powering their way to an average daily step count of 13,347, replacing the typical 3,000 daily step count of an average sedentary worker. Out of 32 global Transport and Logistics teams, Teekay placed 6th in the industry! This year Teekay is taking it a step higher – and has a total of 88 teams from across the world joining the challenge. Each team came up with their own very unique names and team photos (stay tuned!). There will definitely be some healthy competition around Teekay over the next 100 days, but it will a great opportunity for everybody to increase physical activity levels and good nutrition. To launch the start of GCC, teams in each office kicked things off in style: walks around the park, scavenger hunts, runs and some food, too.
