Many of the students have travelled from every corner of the world to come to Sweden and receive an education, to be given the proper tools to go back to their home countries and strengthen the quality of the maritime industry there. Jesper Karlshoej

We are sharing a series of video reports on the funding initiatives of the TK Foundation. The TK Foundation is an independent private foundation that works to fulfill the legacy of Teekay founder Torben Karlshoej. Torben’s nephew, Jesper Karlshoej, recently visited the World Maritime University in Malmo, Sweden. The University’s goal is to support developing countries through the development of local industry – such as shipping, port and ocean management, as well as maritime law and safety training and education.
