Marine Scholarship Cadetship Program

Are you a Future Leader?

Teekay, in partnership with The TK Foundation, is pleased to launch a scholarship program to support young Filipinos to pursue a career in the maritime industry. The Future Leaders Program (FLP) is a four year post-secondary education program where students are accredited with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering and Marine Transportation, and receive world-class training to acquire the necessary education and skills to become successful marine officers.

From enrollment to employment, students are guaranteed a one-year cadetship onboard one of Teekay vessels to acquire hands on experience operating ships.

Qualifications

Disadvantaged Filipino youths
Between the ages of 16-23 on or before June 30, 2024
K-12 Level / Senior High School Graduate
Minimum 85% academic grade in Math, Physics, Chemistry and English subjects
Overall academic Grade Point Average of at least 85%.
Physically and mentally fit, with a Body Mass Index of 19-27
Highly motivated to become a Merchant Marine officer
Good moral character with no criminal record or accusations of unethical behavior

Form 137 – for senior high school students
Transcript of records – for college level students
Certificate of good moral character
Certificate of Indigency from Barangay/LGU
