Teekay and A2SEA have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to jointly develop an innovative vessel design for the installation of offshore wind foundations. Joint cooperation between the two companies is based on A2SEA’s extensive knowledge of offshore windfarm installation and Teekay’s unique experience of operating large vessels controlled by dynamic positioning systems.

Following the recent media release, there was an official event held at Europe's biggest offshore summit in Liverpool.

Teekay shared a stand with partner A2SEA and hosted a media event that included the MOU signing, speeches and questions from the press.

The concept was positively received and the industry welcomes a new purpose built solution that will bring down cost by building offshore wind parks.
