Case Study: Don Project for Petrofac

In this project, a recovered single anchor loading (SAL) system was modified into the first-ever deep water SAL system. This provided our customer with valuable, short-term production up-time on the field before the tie-back pipeline to the Thistle platform was ready.

With no oil storage available on-field, a shuttle loading contract was bundled with the modified SAL solution, maximizing flexibility and profitability for Petrofac.

Cast Study: Kristin Project for Statoil

In this project, our customer needed to maintain production and export during unplanned export riser repairs at the field.

Over two and a half months, shuttle tankers, Navion Britannia and Navion Hispania, were fast-tracked through comprehensive preparations to meet all field specific and statutory requirements. We developed field specific dynamic-positioning (DP) software, installed a telemetry system, reprogrammed the communication systems and developed specific training programs, field operation manuals and emergency procedures. This enabled us to deliver nine days of continuous loading operation on DP through direct loading to the shuttle tanker until completion of export system repairs.
